National Hugging Day

The Friendeshan’s FAVORITE Day of the Year!

In honor of the National Hugging Day, the Friendeshans would like to share these notable FACTS about hugging!

  1. Big Hero 6 was selected as MOST HUGGABLE hero for 2015. (Maybe the Friendeshan’s will be selected for 2016?)
  2. When we hug another person, our bodies release oxytocin, a hormone associated with “happiness,” thus giving us a HAPPY sensation. (We call that Pozzi Power!)
  3. Hugs improve our game! Scientists at University of California, Berkley discovered that the more affectionate members of a team are with each other, the more likely they are to win!
  4. Hugs strengthen the immune system.
  5. Hugging relaxes muscles. Hugs release tension in the body. Hugs can take away pain; they soothe aches by increasing circulation into the soft tissues.
Want to do something for future generations? Hug them when they’re still little.
  7. Hugging your partner will help you BOTH strengthen your relationship.
  8. Virginia Satir, a respected family therapist claims, “We need four hugs a day for survival. We need eight hugs a day for maintenance. We need twelve hugs a day for growth.”

In honor of our FAVORITE DAY – please SHARE a (((HUG))) with those you come across in your day today!

Reasonable care should be taken with those who are either uncomfortable with public affection or their reaction to a hug is unknown.  In those situations, it is advised to ask first before hugging.

Welcome to the Friend Ship Friendesha!

The Friendeshans spread friendship and positive energy throughout the galaxy! In his first book of an inspiring new series, the Friendeshans encounter the Oily Spoilies, creatures that thrive on meanness and negativity. What will happen when an Oily Spoily spy gets aboard the Friendeshans’ ship?

As the series unfolds, the Friendeshans will travel to Earth, where they will work their pozzi-power on our planet, unseen by humans. For any child who has ever been bullied or picked on, the Friendeshans are like loyal, invisible friends they can carry with them in their imaginations. With the Friendeshans around, every child has a friend!

The book gives children new ways to think and talk about social problems at school like bullies, problem students, or even teachers that may cause undue stress and tension.

Guide your child or your class through the book by asking poignant questions. Encourage your child and his/her friends or your classroom to openly discuss issues raised in the book. If children have grievances with one another or serious family concerns, ask them to speak with you after the class discussion.

Environmental themes run throughout the story. Talk to kids about how they should take care of our planet, and things they can do to make it more like planet Friendesha and less like planet Oily Spoily.

Check out a SNEAK PEEK of our book series now! Enjoy!
